Actor Rajesh Dhruva recently began learning to play the chenda melam, a traditional percussion instrument from Kerala. It took him 15 days to master the instrument. Rajesh, known for his debut in the Kannada film Shri Balaji Photo Studio, is now collaborating with director Sukesh Shetty on their upcoming project, Peter, centered around the chenda melam. He stated, "To ensure authenticity, I decided to learn the fundamentals of playing the chenda. After 15 days of training, I gained the necessary skills. I also underwent weight loss training to resemble a chenda artist." Rajesh emphasized the infusion of folk music into the movie, aiming to offer a unique and captivating experience for the audience. Despite his achievements in films, Rajesh intends to continue acting on television for a stable income, leaving the option open to focus solely on the film industry once he has firmly established himself.
